Mark and I had planned on attending this year's class reunion, but I have been back and forth to Lincoln and Fremont numerous times this last year. I am planning a trip again the end of August for the birth of my great niece in Fremont, NE. She is the granddaughter of my late sister Peggy. Peggy passed away on Sept. 2, 2014 and her husband passed away the year before in July of 2013. After monthly trips to help with Peggy's care and to help plan her funeral I thought the monthly trips were done. Then mom became ill and I went back monthly to assist in her care and to coordinate rehabilitation and care along with my other sister, Chris. Mom is doing great now after 5 stays in the hospital and 2 stays at cardiac rehabilitation facilities. The third time she needed the rehabilitation I signed her up with "Tabitha Home Health" and she did so much better than anywhere else. Her nurse was Judy Ryan. Her brother, Steve, graduated with us in 1975. She is a former Northeast grad and a compassionate and kind RN that does a great job. Mom had numerous Northeast grads taking care of her in her home. I only wish this would have been the route we took in the first place as it was the best choice! My last trip back to Lincoln was in April this year. I told Doug Rotthaus that I was looking forward to seeing everyone again and actually remembering the event this time. I do not remember much of the last reunion I attended due to medications I was on at that time. So this year was important. I will be thinking of all of you and wish you all the best. I will plan to attend the next one.

So sad to see that John has passed away. What a truly great guy. I feel honored to have known him.
